HOW TO MAKE SUSHI RICE

Hello sushi lovers, I found an easy recipe for making sushi rice that we can make at home.

I like to buy pieces of salmon, tuna in the supermarket and apply them with the sushi rice I make, don’t forget to always serve them with soy sauce and wasabi.

HOW TO MAKE SUSHI RICE

Ingredients:

  • 3 Rice Cooker Cups (540ml) Japanese Short Grain Rice
  • Water
  • Kombu (Optional)
  • 80ml Rice Vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 3 tbsp Sugar

Instructions:

  1. Wash rice 3x
  2. Soak rice for 30min
  3. Drain for 15min
  4. Add rice to rice cooker bowl
  5. Add water to just under 3 cup line
  6. Clean Kombu with damp towel, place it on top of the rice to be cooked, then cook rice
  7. Add 80ml rice vinegar, 3tbsp sugar, 1 1/2 tsp salt, mix well
  8. Rinse sushi oke
  9. Spread rice on sushi oke
  10. Add vinegar mixture
  11. With slicing motion mix rice and vinegar
  12. Cooling rice down using a hand fan
  13. Keep rice covered with damp towel
